Green Shadow Mentor Program

Green Shadow is a mentorship program developed by the USGBC-Missouri Gateway Chapter Higher Education and Emerging Professionals committee to expose students and emerging professionals to green jobs within the Missouri Gateway territory through an informational interview, half day shadow, or one day shadow of local business people. Participating companies get access to local students interested in the industry without the financial commitment of an internship.

Join us for coffee as we hear from professionals in the green industry and YOU on how to better suit your career passions and curiosities…

Please indicate which Fall 2020 Virtual Open House Meet & Greet you would like to attend on your Shadow application as well, thank you.

Available Green Shadow Virtual Open House Meet & Greet Dates:
Monday, September 28, 2020 at 4:00 pm
Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 4:00 pm

Selection and matching of Mentors and Shadows will be made by the program administrators based on the alignment of Shadows’ field of study and potential occupation with the mentors’ occupation and typical work activities.

Once a match is made, program administrators check the availability of the mentor and establish a mutually agreeable date.  After a date is agreed upon, the student will be responsible for calling the mentor to finalize logistics (meeting place and time).

After the shadow experience, both participants complete a follow-up questionnaire to rate the experience and give feedback to the program administrators.

If you have any questions about the Green Shadow program, please contact us at usgbc-mogateway@mobot.org, thank you.
